This is the track that started it all.

In 2017 I was asked to create a video for Cornell Tech campus which needed to include original music.

I've had very little experience creating music for videos up until then, but decided to take the opportunity and give it a try. The video was about five students and their experience going to Cornell University while living in New York, so I wanted to give it a small, uplifting, New Yorkish feel of someone having a nice day out in NY by themselves. I don't know why, but a French atmosphere seemed to fit (in my mind) for describing New York. Strange, I know, but I went with it.

As you already might have guessed, this track got rejected and we ended up using a different one which made me kind of bummed since I got to like this tune.

It was collecting virtual dust on my computer for about a year before I bumped into it again and decided 'why not give it to the people?', I then uploaded it to YouTube and expected nothing. A year or so later I checked to see how it was doing and was amazed to find out it got around 5000 views. It was only then when I realized people are actually using this, and how great it could be if I create more music to just give away to people who need it.

Today, 'New York Baguette' is still one of my most viewed videos on YouTube. It has a special place in my heart because it's one of the happiest mistakes I ever made.
